About Butterflies & Bamboo
 
This watercolor painting was inspired by a magnificent grove of structural bamboo that grew down the road from me in South Kona on Big Island.
 
This species grows up to 50 feet high with a 6-inch diameter!
 
I took artistic license and added some tropical butterflies that are not native to Hawaii, just for fun.
